At the Geneva Motor Show on 1st March 2011, Jaguar launched its most potent series production car ever, the all-new Jaguar XKR-S. The all-new model significantly broadens the Jaguar XK range as Jaguar offers the enthusiastic driver a compelling and fresh choice in the luxury GT class. With the supercharged V8 engine, overhauled suspension and the new aerodynamically-driven design, the Jaguar XKR-S is the ultimate expression of Jaguar's long held duality of purpose: GT luxury with impressive performance. The Jaguar XKR-S is able to produce 550PS and 680Nm of torque which is enough power to offer a top speed of 186mph (300km/h), its performance credentials speak for its self: 0-60mph takes 4.2 seconds, with 0-100mph dismissed in just 8.6 seconds. It exploits the Jaguar XK's strong, lightweight aluminium body architecture to maximise both handling and economy, and the Jaguar XKR-S is the only car in its class to emit less than 300g/km CO2. With suspension changes to the front and rear it offers ultimate precision, control and driver appeal, while the reprogrammed Adaptive Dynamics system allows the enthusiastic driver to explore the edges of the handling envelope.
