From Fidenza to Carrara by bike: the 14th of May the participants of the 2010 Giro d'Italia left from the Emilian town, passing the Appenninis to rach the sea of Carrara. During the sixth stage, three teams, Colnago, Cervlo and AG2R-La Mondiale stayed at the Grand Hotel Terme Astro together with the usual staff of techniques, sports medicine doctors, masseurs and journalists.
