Whereas the city of Marbella provides the rich and famous with a place to relax and unwind. The resort of Puerto Banus which is just a 10 minute drive away is considered to be their playground. As you wander along the port pass the various bars and restaurants don't be too surprised to see one or two celebrities on a hot summer's day sitting in them enjoying a quiet meal or drink.
However if you would rather do something a little more relaxing yourself then why not head down onto the beaches. There are several that stretch for several kilometres in either direction and on which you will find various bars and restaurants where some wonderful local fish delicacies can be sampled.
Of course spending time on the beach is wonderful but this particular resort you will find comes to life at night. There are numerous bars and nightclubs here that offer a wide variety of different drinks and entertainment. But be warned that throughout the summer things can get pretty rowdy as it is now becoming a favourite place for hen and stag parties to come and celebrate.
Although there is plenty of entertainment for adults to enjoy during the summer months there are numerous events organized for children as well. In the summer the main square is crowded with small stalls selling a variety of different articles as well as offering rides for the kids to enjoy.
As for eating out in Puerto Banus there are numerous high quality restaurants for one to visit, but if you have children with you there are a few good places for them to enjoy. The latest of these being the Hard Rock Cafe which opened at the end of last year. But be warned when it comes to eating in this restaurant you may have to wait a while for a table.
