They get the full knowledge about the functioning of a product. The next and the final step in reverse engineering is to manufacture a similar product or bring some changes in the product, make it better and come up with a new product that is more attractive and better than the one before reverse engineered.

Reverse engineering is being adopted by a lot of companies. They analyze the products of other competitors through it and they also reverse engineer their own products and come up with a product that is of more advantage.
