Herbalife was founded in 1980 by a guy named Mark Hughes who started selling Herbalife products out of the boot of his car, this company has gone on to employs around 4,000 people worldwide and reported a net sales profit of 2.3 billion dollars in the year of 2009, Herbalife's corporate head office is in Los Angeles, USA.

This company now has millions of distributors in 74 different countries around the world and has payed out millions of dollars in commissions to their distributors, Herbalife is still alive and thriving today after almost thirty years so to say that Herbalife is a scam is just madness, get even more details on this company in my Herbalife Reviews.

The REAL scam in this company though is not actually the company itself it is the marketing that this company teaches their new distributor, these marketing strategies that are being taught are just not going to get you the results that you are looking for in your business.

Network marketing has changed over the years along with the ways to market your business so the REAL Herbalife scam is the lack of marketing training that you will receive when you join this company.

The age old marketing strategy that you will be told to do as soon as you invest in this company is to make a list of your friends and family then make a list of their friends and family once you have done this get these people on the phone and schedule a home presentation where you will let them try the product and give them a business presentation in hopes that they will want to buy the product and join you in business.

There is one massive side effect here and that is alienation, for starters there is a very high chance that your friends and family aren't going to have the same vision that you have and most of them will think that Herbalife is a scam, how ironic.

The other marketing strategies that you are going to encounter from your sponsor will be to hand out business cards and flyers, put stickers on your car, where a company badge around, now I'm sure that you can see the problem with these marketing strategies and the main problem that jumps out at me is the limited business growth that you can create with these marketing strategies so if you think that you are going to retire early with a great monthly residual income then you are going to get a rude shock.
