The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain had done a study that polled over 2,000 adults. It was found out that a quarter of people between 45-54-year-olds revealed that they trust the people they are having sex with so there is no need to use any contraception, while one of every ten people admitting that they do not like the feeling of having sex with a condom on. Nearly a third thought that it is unlikely or very unlikely for them to contract STI when doing unprotected sex with a new or different partner.

So, are the middle age people less responsible than their younger counterparts? Well, an average person would state that young adults are identified to hold the largest percentage of confirmed cases of STDs. It was also discovered that 25% of people over 55 believe that their chances of acquiring an STD by means of unprotected sex are very unlikely, as opposed to 13% of those individuals aged 18 to 24. This is such a nave thinking in this modern day.

So, what should be done to change this lame thinking at present? It is arguable that the submission of information about STDs needs to be more common and not exclusively centered on the younger generations. The risks and symptoms ought to be distributed more to the public so that the common masses will benefit from it.
