The simplest way to Find Out What Job Is Right For Me

?

The fundamental question quite a few people have when they enter university, what job is right for me? I had the identical question starting, and halfway through the first year. As I had a acceptable ability with computer systems I thought the logical solution was to go into computer science. Setting up and repairing computers is one thing, programming them is quite another. I made it through a whole two and a half months in the course before I had to switch programs or else I might have had a GPAlower than my blood alcohol content. The rest of the year I was looking out for a direction to take so I wouldn't waste my time and money taking courses I don't need.I had an approximate idea about what I wanted to carry out for a career after school, but I had an even better idea about what I didn't want to do. I didn't figure out what kind of program to go into though, and I didn't realize what different types of jobs there are after receiving a certain diploma or degree. I was fortunate to be living in residence where there were tons of resources to my fingertips. Furthermore there were lots of of university students experiencing the same thing I was and have made problematic choices before. I spoke to my Resident Advisor about the issues I was having and she encouraged that I take a career workshop.A career workshop is a course where you discover what job field is the best for you. They ask you lots of questions based on personality, your weaknesses and strengths, as well as your likes and dislikes. At the end they tally up your score and it places you into different categories that gives you a greater picture of just what to do in your future. When I took it I obtained 92% in the entrepreneur category. The instructors even had a page full of example professions in each field, and after going through the entrepreneur category I realized I liked all of those job options. So the moment I pointed out that entrepreneurship or business was suitable for me, only a couple of faculties stood out so I transferred into a business degree and I couldn't be more happy. With out this workshop I wouldn't have been able to discover which path was right for me, at least it would have taken me a lot longer. It made me see my strengths and weaknesses and it taught me to be discover what I was fascinated in. I always had an idea what it was, but I never could put any words to it. After looking online there doesn't seem to be any beneficial courses that gave me results as effective as the ones I acquired from the in person course. At colleges and universities, the course is sometimes free (paid for by your student union) so I highly recommend everybody to take it if they are mixed-up about their future. If it isn't free it isn't a lot of cash either, and the two hours there can help you save time and money. If you ever ask yourself What Job is right for me"? Than go and take a career workshop!
