The top trends for Autumn/Winter 2010 ladies fashion
Once again it is time to put your summer clothing away until next year and clear
some space in your wardrobe for some of the gorgeous women's clothes available this autumn and winter.
The high street is already saying goodbye to the summer sale rails and making way for some great new trends in women's clothing and shoes. So what are the must buy items in ladies fashion for autumn/winter 2010?
A lot of designers have returned to the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s for inspiration this year and as expected the high street has followed suit with a range of beautiful vintage inspired pieces available in their men and ladies fashion ranges.
Thanks to the phenomenon of shows such as Mad Men there has been a revival of below the knee dresses and skirts which flow out from the body to accentuate the hourglass figure. Ladies fashion is also taking a nod to statement 60s shift dresses and mini dresses so channel this look by buying graphic prints and coloured tights.
Boho chic is still a major theme in fashion this season with paisley and floral printed free flowing dresses and tops available. These can be worn throughout the season by layering a faux fur gilet over them with knee high boots and opaque tights.
It is not only about the 1970s Boho look however as the high street is alive with everything 70's glamour. Think Charlie's Angels with big hair, high waisted trousers and flares. Tuck soft blouses into trousers and skirts and add on the bling whether you are going to the office or out on the town.
Once again the military trend will be a key feature this season influencing cardigans, coats and even shoes. The most popular fabrics will be leather, velvet and lace.
