Car shows are a wonderful event to plan for the summer

. Because of the weather, summer is perfect for any outdoor gathering. If you want to draw in a large crowd, summer weekends are the best time of year to host car events.

Successful car events are ones that are planned ahead of time. Making plans for a good car show will make your car show look more professional. Here are some theme ideas to consider during the planning stages.

1.) Look to the past car shows for ideas. If recent car shows have been done in your area, do not repeat their theme. A theme, such as car hops, may be a good idea - but only if it has not been done for a while.

2.) Think about specific vehicle-inspired themes. You can hold a car show featuring a specific vehicle or vehicle type. Some popular choices would be mustangs or corvettes.

3.) Decade parties are always fun. Have a classic car show by restoring cars from the car hop decade of the 50's. Enjoy rock-n-roll music, car hop food, and sock hop dancing to bring in customers.

4.) Muscle cars from the 1960s are another good choice. Muscle cars from the mid 60's and 70's, were large, powerful vehicles. Take advantage of the theme and wear muscle shirts, and have muscle-themed activities, such as arm wrestling. Be sure to have good prizes.

5.) Another fun decade was the roaring 20's. Have an antique car show! Have employees wear early 20's attire, and have barbershop quartets sing for entertainment.

6.) Host a unique vehicle car show. Have a car show based off of various miscellaneous vehicles. The more rare the vehicle, the better. Examples could include taxis, hearses, police cruisers, and buses.
