There Are Challenges With Network Marketing Duplication

As I type this article, I am three days away from leaving for my primary company's annual conference

. I have yet to miss a live event that my company offers. With only three major events scheduled annually, one primary company conference, and two team training events, these dates are on my calendar months in advance. I wouldn't miss them as they are a critical piece to keeping plugged in to team trainings, company-sponsored product and program launches, etc. I also invest in 2 - 4 generic training events each year. That allows me to learn raw knowledge on industry training that, again, allows me to implement these skills outside of my own company trainings.

I used to work in the corporate world. Every year we had a District Sales Manager convention. There was no choice whether or not we went. We had to. It was our job. Many of us had children. There were single mothers I worked with who had to make arrangements for their kids for four days. There were family functions, etc. that were missed because our team of DSM's were required to be at the conference to view the upcoming product lines, be introduced to new programs and to learn skills that would allow us to grow in our jobs.

When I left that job to build my network marketing organization full-time, I took that same commitment to my business. You see, although I no longer had a J.O.B., I have a commitment to my business that is essential to building a successful organization. These live training events aren't an option for me, nor should they be for ANY serious network marketer.

The challenge that most leaders have in our profession is the duplication of this mindset amongst their team. A company event that happens ONCE a year is not an option. Now, I can hear the grumbles out there that say, 'Yeah, but, I have to pay to go to the convention where I don't have to pay as an employee.' O.K. Well, to that I say, 'YOU chose to open a business.' You paid an investment to start a business. Businesses have expenses and if you started a business for $499 expecting never to have to pay another thing again, do you really expect to find a lucrative income from that business? Hell, no.

Businesses absolutely are a continued investment of time and money. Without that commitment, incomes will NOT increase. Don't fool yourself. The more you invest in both time and money, the more you will earn. It's that simple. Investing money means you are purchasing new products, training courses, a trip to your company convention. Each of those investments equal new knowledge, a new mindset, a new set of skills to implement and IMPROVE.

You see, all these newly learned things allow one to earn more. You've probably heard the saying, 'The more you learn, the more you earn.' There is substance to that, so take notice!

You will never see a leader within a network marketing company miss an event. There's a reason for that. Aspiring leaders of the same company should echo that. I have heard comments like, 'I'm not going to my company event because it's just a bunch of rah-rah crap,' or 'I'm not going because it's just an excuse for the company to make more money.' Do you really think the very people using those excuses will be top earners in the company? I think not.

Remember. The most successful network marketers are the ones who get the most people to events. Will you be one of them? I'd highly suggest cutting out the excuses of not getting to events...i.e. money, kids, unsupportive spouses, etc. If you are serious enough, you will treat training events as if they have the importance of being at an event for your job. You will get there, whether you have to drive eight hours and sleep in your car. I am dead serious. Sleep in your car and wash up in the hotel bathroom. It has been done before by those who had the desire to make a serious change in their business.

Those who regularly attend 4 - 5 live events every year will say that with every event attended, it has grown their business exponentially. That is why people keep going....to keep learning. Make a change in mindset; actually, demand yourself to change your mindset and get to your first live event and see what happens.

I'd suggest doing this as soon as possible and get to the next generic live event ASAP. Information is below for this next event. Be the leader you want to cultivate on your team and get there. Your team will do as you do. Stop the madness of this one challenge of network marketing duplication, and start the actions you actually want duplicated on your team!
