A diving pool is deeper than a play pool at one end to allow for diving. The deep end of the pool can be as deep as 8-1/2 feet and is equipped with a diving board. Because diving pools can cause injuries, safety standards set by NSPI and ANSI should be complied with in building such pools.

A traditional pool is geometric in form, typically rectangular or oval in shape. This is the most common type of pool in Arizona.

A freeform pool is designed to bring you closer to nature. These types of pools contain a variety of rock formations, waterfalls, grottoes and other features that will make your pool look like a natural oasis. Freeform pools are very popular in Phoenix.

A lap pool is a great choice for avid swimmers and those who just want to swim for exercise. This kind of pool is typically rectangular in shape, and is long and narrow.

A negative edge pool, also called an infinity edge or infinity pool, appears to go on forever to the casual observer. Infinity pools are quite spectacular to behold, and really add a luxury feel to any backyard. The design of this type of pool is quite complex, however, so planning and construction should be handled by an experienced pool builder.

A spool is a spa and a pool combination. A typical spool is usually quite small measuring only 12' x 14'. This type of pool is most appropriate for those with smaller yards or with a smaller budget.

A perimeter overflow pool is one in which the water level reaches all the way to the deck surrounding the pool. This type of pool is truly a visual masterpiece as it looks like a giant mirror on the ground. The water drains into a notch to give the pool its unique appearance.
