The engineers over at Trijicon have worked diligently worked on a new product. This product is slated to be release in January of 2011 to ring in the new year. This new product that is in the works is the Trijicon RMR Adjustable. It is currently in it's prototype form although production has almost certainly started by now. If Trijicon continues with it's present designation trends, this new RMR A will more than likely be assigned the product number of RM07. This is assumed because the RMR series already has SKU's up to RM06.

The name for this new model of Trijicon RMR Adjustable. So, what is adjustable with this new model? Well this red dot scope will have an adjustable brightness feature. The previous models in the RMR series, the RM01,RM02, RM03, RM04, RM05 & RM06 all feature a automatic brightness setting as their one and only setting. The new Trijicon RMR will have this automatic setting, but in addition to the automatic brightness adjustment, it will have manually adjustable brightness setting. There will be nine different settings for brightness on this new product. Three of these setting are reserved for night vision setting. There are six more brightness settings. The six more brightness setting are for use during the day time, when a higher brightness setting is needed. In addition to these nine manual setting, there is the original automatic brightness setting. This automatic brightness setting is great for when you are taking care of business and not worried about choosing the optimal brightness setting for your particular needs at the time. This new Trijicon RMR will have 1 MOA adjustments in windage and elevation. This is so across the entire line of the RMR's.

This new Trijicon RMR Adjustable is said to have an entry price of $550. Now, this MSRP does not include a mounting system. Proposed mounting solutions are estimated to cost between $70 and $100. Although this system is dependent upon a battery, it is incredibly reliable. The battery will supply the red dot sight with two years worth of power. So, things thing has more stamina than even the energizer bunny.
