If you're looking for a trendy style then look no further than a French door refrigerator. Like side by side refrigerators, the French door model features a dual door design. Although similar in many ways it stands out with an added bonus of a bottom compartment that acts as a pullout freezer drawer. Unlike most freezers both frozen and fresh produce can be placed in the compartment. Unlike standard designs the doors on the French model are generally narrower with the added advantage of not extending to the floor. This allows for less space for the swinging of doors. The French door model certainly makes for a desirable design fitting all size kitchens. The benefit of a dual door design on a French door model is much the same as on a side by side refrigerator. Features like an internal ice and water dispenser are now possible. It's even possible to have a TV installed in the panel! It must be noted that with the incorporation of some of these wonderful features loss of storage space is inevitable. Another area to look into is the capacity of the refrigerator. French door models have been noted for their large width. With this in mind it makes it possible to store goods using the full width in both the freezer and refrigerator compartments. While the storage space inside is maximized, there is also generally a decrease in space needed on the outside. The bottom freezer mount saves some space that would have been used if the dual doors extended to the floor. Functionality could not get any better with a counter depth refrigerator. They say it couldn't get any better but with an extra 5 to 6 inches of workspace I think it just did. They allow for increased workspace outside as well as maximized storage space inside. Perfection could not come simpler then with an exceptionally designed refrigerator.
