The American Association of Plastic Surgery has attributed this rise in chin augmentation procedures to the rise of the use of video chat technology.

Cosmetic surgeons have reported an increase in the number of patients citing reasons for their cosmetic surgery desires as stemming from their want to look better while talking to friends and family using video chat technology.
