They Took Everything From English Safety Stirrups To Dressage Bridles
I must admit I haven't been in the best of moods recently and it's a shame as the Christmas period has just started
. Everyones starting to play Christmas songs and put up their Christmas trees and it's all starting to feel very festive. Unfortunately I had my tack room broken into at the start of the week and they completely cleared me out. I had lots of dressage bridles and saddles and many other things and they took everything! The parked the other side of the village and walked across the fields in the middle of the night to get to the tackroom so that they wouldn't be picked up by sensor lights in the area. The then legged it across the fields with my stuff and although they dropped a dressage bridles in the field on their exit they have still taken around three thousand pounds worth of stuff from me. It annoys me so much to think someone would happily steel from someone else and leave them to find the money to replace the items. It annoyed me so much that my blood was practically boiling the other day. I've worked hard for my english safety stirrups and other tack and someone has come along and stolen it. My english safety stirrups also have sentimental value to them as someone bought me them as a Christmas gift and they are no longer in my life.
I also have to replace my hat along with everything else as although they didn't take it they threw it on the floor and I don't know whether they've broken it. They completely turned the room upside down and although they didn't take rugs they left them all in a completely state!
I'm hoping I can replace it all but what with the festive season upon us it isn't a cost I wanted but I'll have to find the money. I can't have my horses out of work as I compete every weekend and it's bad enough they've had the time off which they've had. Hopefully by the end of this week all my tack will be with me and I'll be able to be back in the saddle properly.
