Things To Do In Bournemouth
Bournemouth is a really excellent place to go to for surprise
, surprise the beach and the chips. I know most people go on about the Fantastic clubs, the International Centre, The Bournemouth eye, The Oceanarium, the Great Pubs and Restaurants.
Its doesn't seem long ago that you could just drive down from where ever you were after work, park up and wander down to the beach with a bottle of wine, fish and chips from Harry ramsdens and then sit in the sand with the one you love and watch/listen to the sea. I know in this day and age of hustle and bustle, we are constantly battered by filling our lives with stuff to do, but just the simple act of stopping and enjoying the sea in a place that is still within the bounds of a busy city has a real magic to it.
Between the 15th November and the 23rd December the Christmas market will beset up in the town centre. The market usually consists of traditional wooden chalets selling toys, candles, ornaments and other hand crafted goods. If you feel a bit peckish while getting those last few gifts on your Christmas list then there will be mushrooms, bratwurst (German sausage) and crepes and if you fancy a drink there is always the Gluhwein stall selling traditional German mulled wine.
When you want to arrange for the perfect stag weekend to surprise the groom you can actually consider Bournemouth as one of the options. The long coastlines, abundance of water sporting activities, the picturesque pier, the beautiful gardens and the huge numbers of pubs and nightclubs all go to make Bournemouth a much preferred stag destination. This surfer's paradise is believed to be the center of entertainment in the South Coast because it is home to a number of festivals like the rugby festival, book fairs, and science fiction conventions. This traditional British seaside destination has in time evolved into one of the most happening party spots and its proximity to the British capital makes it even more appealing for a weekend getaway.
Make your way on foot or climb about the party bus for a trip to more than a few of Bournemouth's most active nightspots. Bournemouth's comedy scene is renowned, so leave a little time for that, or take in some greyhound racing before you hit the bars. After you've had a few, hit the bars to take in a little stripper action, or just sit down and rest while the lap dancers do all the work. If you thought of Bournemouth of the town where grandmothers go for their final years, you are wrong. There is more than enough in this town to keep you busy and in a great deal of trouble - certainly for more than a weekend. In fact, you might want to make that stag weekend party a stag "week-long" party to take in all that Bournemouth has to offer. Again, let's get back to the stag weekend. What would a stag weekend in Birmingham be without a trip to a nightclub for a few drinks and a lap dance?
The Blue flag is an assurance of quality on Britons beaches and Bournemouth boasts one of the finest examples of Blue flag beaches on the South coast, relax in the sun and swim safe in the knowledge that the water is clean and safe, the Avalon Beach hotel even has its own beach hut that guests can use when they are visiting the lovely beach.
