3. The screen of the laptop is the next thing that you should consider. Determine whether you need a bigger screen or just a smaller one. Basically there are three major sizes of laptop screens today and they are 10.1", 14", and 16".

4. Laptops are designed for mobility and one of the most important things that you should put into consideration is the battery. The battery of the laptop should be able to last longer as much as possible. It should not be less than 2 hours. There is now a technology that manufacturers are developing wherein a battery could last up to as much as 6 hours.

5. Lastly, look for connectivity options. Ideally, you should choose a laptop which provides more options for connectivity such as LAN, wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and USB. These are the basic things that most people use for connectivity.

Now that you know the things that you should consider when purchasing a laptop, you should be able to purchase the right one for you.
