People typically worship the Lord for the incorrect reasons and usually do not get the whole picture. The reason why we should make our praise to Him is because He is our creator and crafted the universe that we oftentimes neglect. Instead of praising God to receive something, why don't you do so because you are thankful for the treasure he has already given. The Lord brought you your life and made it entirely possible for you to stand before him. That is the motive why you should serve and worship him. He is why you get up every day and get that first breath of fresh air and for everything else in your daily life. Prayer and praise are a spiritual link with our maker. Even though living a good everyday life and having faith may produce rewards, this ought not be the primary desire for worshiping God.
