What is a ThinkSmart Virus?

ThinkSmart Virus is a spyware program belonging to the family of ThinkPoint. Like other fake antivirus programs these are also installed through a fake Trojan alerts that mimics Microsoft Security Essentials Alert. It is also through Trojans that the program gets distributed to other computers. The fake "Microsoft Securities Essentials Alert" is a Trojan in itself which is very similar in appearance to the real Microsoft Security Essentials. Lots of warnings and pop ups come once your computer is infected by this Virus. All these alerts make you think that your computer is infected and it needs immediate attention.

When you click Show details', You will be prompted to clean your system using the program in order to remove virus completely. When you click on the Clean Computer' or Apply actions' button, the message will appear that the computer was unable to remove it and then you will be prompted to scan your computer online to remove these errors.

On your clicking the scan online button a list of 35 different anti-virus programs will be displayed on your computer screen. Of these programs only 30 are legitimate antivirus programs and the remaining 5 are rogue antivirus programs which are being distributed by the Trojan.

First of all u need to start your system in a safe networking mode. If IE cannot be executed, the following should be done. If start manager is not opening, then following commands should be run to stop the fake Antivirus processes first.
