1.What activities will you do in the club? Theatre is one of the most time consuming and enriching extra curricular activities in College. Once you join such a group, you may be required to participate in plays and take part in several dialogues that are associated with a particular play. There will be several characters in those plays and one may be required to take them on. If actual stage activities may not be your cup of tea then you may prefer working on make up for the performers, backdrop preparations, script writing, prop creation and costume design. You may also engage in other theatre production such as miming, expressive dance and poetry presentations.

2.How will it help? First, your interpersonal skills are likely to grow because you will be working with people who are targeting certain goals. Consequently, you will have to get along even when you may be slightly different from each other. Additionally, your communication skills will improve especially because you will have to make performances in front of a wide general audience. Your knowledge of literature will grow and so will your self assurance.

3.Can you get rewards for it? Some institutions often create interschool competitions that may lead to certificates, trophies or other awards related to theater productions. Furthermore, you will get rewarded in your own personal way by becoming more confident in yourself.

Drama is for passionate people

If you are not passionate about theatre then this will probably show through your output and the rest may blame you for failures so only join such kinds of activities if you feel that you have what it takes.
