Three Cars That Give You Space, Luxury And Great Performance
When the majority of people go out looking for a new car
, they generally focus their attention to one of three different aspects.
Space is very often a major point for many. The car has to be big enough for them and all of their family to fit in comfortably, especially if they travel in it regularly; it has to have enough space that the driver feels like they can drive the car comfortably and safely and it must also have enough storage space for everything from a full load of grocery shopping to the children's pushchairs and school bags.
For many, luxury is the primary point that they look for. Varying widely, luxury can refer to everything from having a CD player and electrics all round to heated leather seats, parking sensors and an integrated satellite navigation system.
And there are those people who look at a car's performance statistics first and foremost. They want to know how fast the car can go, what its brake horsepower figure is and how well it handles - and that's without taking into consideration more specific data, such as the brakes the car uses and how fast it can come to a complete stop.
Now whilst you're likely to be able to find a car that suits your space, luxury or performance needs relatively quickly, what about if you want a car that takes aspects from all three?
Looking at a broad budget range, the following three cars should be able to provide you with sufficient space for your family, enough luxury to make any journey particularly comfortable and will perform better than most other similar cars on the market.
1. Land Rover Discovery - once considered to be the more robust - and uglier - sister to the Range Rover, Discovery's that entered Land Rover dealers before 2004 may have fitted this bill correctly, but the latest models - the Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 - whilst still robust, are anything but ugly.
The Discovery's size needs no explaining, but it's often surprising for many to hear that they have the capability to house a 5 litre Jaguar engine, have brakes taken from the Range Rover Sport and have a number of luxuries available, such as an integrated SatNav system.
2. Vauxhall Insignia - introduced in 2008, the Insignia is the successor to the much loved Vectra and when the new model entered the market, it was met with a substantial amount of praise and went on to be one of the best selling cars of 2009.
Looking like a high end luxury saloon, the Insignia has enough space for the whole family and is surprisingly well performing (it's available with a 2.8 litre engine that can reach 60 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds and packs 320 bhp).
Vauxhall stepped up their game with the Insignia and at 17,145 pounds, are offering a car that can act perfectly well as a business car, a family car and a fun car.
3. BMW 7 Series - originally entering production in 1977, the BMW 7 Series is now into its seventh generation and continues to mix style, luxury and size perfectly.
It may not be the largest in terms of space out of the three cars mentioned here, but it is without doubt the one that will turn heads, allow you to drive in sheer comfort and luxury and yet is still suitable for the entire family.
