Three Interesting Adobe Photoshop Projects

Creative experts are always thinking of ways to create innovative new Photoshop projects that expand their own and Photoshop's capabilities. Photoshop has become an art form and with its versatility it can create pretty much any effect! Here's a few of our favourite creative projects that have been acknowledged for the creator's talent, innovative thinking and skills with Adobe Photoshop.

The Centaur:

Although, the centaur is a favorite project among Photoshoppers, it is still a very talented design project that needs skill to be done correctly and artistically. It involves merging two pictures, one of a horse and one of a human by cutting out the horse's head and replacing it with the top half of a body. Of course for it to look more real' and not badly put together, blending of textures are needed, as well as using blurring and several filters to give a magical look to your centaur. One centaur picture used a top layer of a leaf to cleverly create a fairytale' like Centaur.

Age Changing:

Cassio Braga, Photoshop and design expert, recently created one of the most interesting Photoshop projects by changing a picture of a young 7 year old girl into an old woman, showing how she may look when she's 70. He found two very similar images, one of the young girl and one of an older lady. He then started the alteration from young to old cleverly using layers and a layer mask Very slowly and delicately, he made areas visible, so that the aged lines began to appear on the young girl's face. Changing the hue and adding filters enabled a more natural transition that recreated the young girl's face to that of an older lady.

Recreating Pop Art:

Masters of Photoshop now can create Pop Art' using vector drawing tools in Photoshop and Illustrator. Using a stylish photo, with the dramatic expressions pop art' pictures, draw around the elements in Illustrator using the simple outlines that Pop art uses. Hide the picture, then colour in using bright luminous tones. After creating your Pop art face, then transport to Photoshop where halftones will help you create the full Pop art' effect.
