Email marketing is synonymous with follow-up marketing, and that method is known to capture future sales that otherwise would have been lost forever. The ability to do follow-up marketing is one of the main reasons for creating an email list. If for example your site is selling a "gardening" ebook and is converting at 0.5% or less than one sale out of every 100 visitors, you would want to increase the conversion ratio. Not everyone has success with list building, but you're able to create one then you'll have a good shot at increasing conversions. First of all, you'll be able to add a good amount of prospects to your email list and secondly, you can follow up with them about your product and explain them how it can benefit them. Never, ever believe the myth that you'll become rich overnight with online marketing. It's true and complete fact that tons of IM marketers make thousands each day, or hundreds of thousands each month, but it definitely took them time and hard work to get there.

This just goes on to show that there is nothing called "overnight success" in Internet marketing. You will have to do it the old-fashioned way with patience, dedication, and hard work. That is how it's done, and you can achieve it a lot faster than you think if you use the right mindset and approach. Online marketing can sometimes be quite challenging, but that's to be expected as are the occasional mistakes - just keep forging ahead and taking action.
