In order to help you make that decision, it's important that you already know beforehand where you're going to be putting that rug in like perhaps maybe in the den, the study or in your living room.

Depending on where you're going to be putting it, dark colored or light colored rugs are perfect in certain areas. For one thing, you wouldn't want to have contrasting or conflicting colors that would ruin the entire theme for your room. So make sure that you choose the color of your rug carefully, that it should match wherever place you're going to be putting it in.

The size of the rug you want to have made

If you don't know yet, there are actually standard sizes for rugs. With these standard sizes, these have been the generally accepted sizes in which rugs have been made into.
