It will be a good time to be able to think about how you would like to be able to redesign the home that you live in so that it is going to be able to more meet your needs in retirement. Another reason as to why retirement is going to be a good time to make your house nicer is that it will truly be your house at this point in time. Earlier in your life you no doubt had to do a big balancing act to be able to raise your kids. Now, it should go without saying, your kids are no longer around. They (if all has gone well) have been living on their own for quite some time now. This means that if you want to change the kitchen or add siding to the house that it is your prerogative to be able to do so.

One last reason as to why retirement is the best time to be able to look into home improvement has to do with the particular timing of market conditions today.
