Three Simple Steps To Health
There always seems to be a rush for "weight loss answers" just before the summer
. Something about being seen in a bathing suit makes so many people so uptight and defensive that they just HAVE to lose 20 pounds yesterday, they can't wait for a natural, healthy weight loss to set in. Frankly, it would just be easier if people in Chattanooga kept track of their weight all year round and stayed healthy and fit, rather than scrounging for a quick fix every April.
"Weight loss" is also a bit of misdirection in human health. A person who weighs fewer pounds than they are inches tall is not healthy, but anorexic, bordering in starvation. Also, a person with a high metabolism does not need to watch their weight, but they still need to watch their cholesterol. To be honest, weight is only one indicator of health, and on its own, it is a rather false indicator.
It is still a good idea to find a weight loss clinic or location in Chattanooga, but it is probably more important to enroll in a gym or get a home exercise system, then to change your diet and smile more, than it is to watch your weight. Health is the overall goal of weight loss, after all!
First thing, which people hate, is exercise. Just 30 minutes a day is not enough to give you buns of steal and a six pack, hate to break it to you. And before you go sign a contract for that expensive gym and trainer across town, consider how much you would save in fees (not to mention gas!) if instead of driving there, running for 30 minutes because that is all the time you have, then driving home to shower and get ready for work, you simply worked out a 30 minute run that started and ended at your own door? That leaves you another half an hour to do some sit ups, push-ups, weights, dancing, whatever you want to do before you need to shower and head out again!
Another dirty word here: "diet." First, let us change how you think. A "diet" is simply a list of the things you eat. Every day, you have your "diet" that may include candy, chocolate, coffee, doughnuts, all those "unhealthy things" that weight loss places treat like four letter words. Honestly, you can eat all of that and still lose weight! Unless you're allergic, simply increase your raw veggies and water intake each day, and you'll lose weight!
Lastly, SMILE! Happy people are healthier, statistically, so smile some of that stress away and stop watching that weight.
