Once the keywords are determined, they must be included in the article in a way that will result in a high page rank. The key is to keep it simple, and don't force the keywords. Overuse of keywords or forcing keywords could produce negative results in the search engine algorithms driving lower page ranks. Use keywords naturally. If possible include keywords in your title, in your text body (preferably in the first paragraph), and in any links that might be contained in your resource box.
2. Quality Content
While the quantity of articles you publish can certainly improve your chances of being read, the quality of the articles is equally, if not more, important.
First, readers are very perceptive and can spot a poorly written article or an article without value. If you gain a reputation as this kind of writer, then you will find that your readership will dwindle.
Another very important reason to write quality articles is because search engines will rank high quality articles with good content higher than poorly written articles. Search engines have progressed tremendously over the past couple of decades, and now they are capable of distinguishing if your article is well written and has good, original content. It is essential that you use correct spelling, good grammar, and original content to increase the chances of gaining a high search engine ranking.
3. Resource Box
The resource box an essential part of any article. This box at the bottom of your article gives you the chance to promote yourself and your product.
First, ensure that you include some information about yourself as the author. If you are an expert in your field or have significant experience, be sure this is noted. If you are not an expert, that's ok too. Just add general information about yourself and why you are interested in the topic. Readers want to know a little about the author, and this is your chance to provide this information.
Second, be sure to include a link to the website of the product or service that you are promoting. Regardless of your product, remember to include the link so that readers can learn more about the topic and have a chance to view your offer. The website link should be placed on a line by itself below the other resource box text.
Third, it is beneficial to include a keyword link in your resource box. Search engines tend to view keyword links favorably. If you include keywords in your resource box, link it back to a website or sales page. Not only will this improve your article search engine ranking, backlinking will improve the ranking of your website as well.
Whether you are new to article marketing or a seasoned veteran, the three above factors can be used to improve the effectiveness of your articles. If used correctly, it will result in increased readership, higher traffic, and more cash in your pocket.
