As an Amazon affiliate there is a huge selection of products that you can promote and earn commissions on. Amazon products include swing sets, laptops, televisions, clothing, sports gear and thousands of other products. The biggest problem with being an Amazon affiliate is deciding which product to promote among the thousands available.

Here are three tips that can help you achieve good results as an Amazon affiliate.


1. Take your time and choose your products wisely. The commission percentage rates paid out on Amazon products are quite low so it is best to choose higher priced products that will earn you a higher commission. Low priced products do also have their place as often customers will not only buy the product you are promoting but will also buy other products while they are shopping. So even when you promote low priced products you could sell some high priced items.

When you are promoting digital products from Clickbank and other affiliate programs it can be difficult to convert customers to buy a high priced product. With physical products it is much easier to convert a customer to a buyer as the customer is usually already considering buying the product.


If the customer is already considering buying the product you are promoting, your promotion will point them in the right direction and give them the push they need to make the purchase. When you promote Amazon products you are promoting to a more targeted audience that are already looking for the product and looking to buy so the sales come much easier than when promoting high priced digital products.

2. Take a look at the product reviews for the product you are considering promoting. If there are no or little reviews then the product might not be a big seller. If there are a lot of negative reviews then the products also might not be worth promoting or it could end up having a lot of refunds and then your commission is reversed. Your credibility is also at stake so you really only want to promote good quality products. So choose products that have some reviews and most of those reviews being positive feedback.

3. Give the customers what they are looking for. When you create a blog or website for promoting an Amazon product you want that website to be enticing and encourage visitors to buy the product. Your customers are searching for the product because they are most likely considering buying it but they might just need that extra push to make the decision to purchase. Your website needs to give them that push and entice them to buy. Writing a review about the product can work well and also include some specifications of the product. This is your sales pitch and your chance to make the sale.
