Three Ways To Drive A Wedge Between You And Your Ex Girlfriend

Mistakes can be made even when we think that we are doing the right thing

. When it comes to relationships, lots of men make mistakes that end up costing them the chance of getting what they want. If you want to remain on amicable terms with your ex girlfriend, then you have to be careful that you don't end up doing anything that is going to drive a wedge between you and her. Let me tell you, it's easy to end up driving a wedge between you and your ex girlfriend and you probably won't realize that this is what you are doing until it is TOO LATE.

Here are 3 ways that you can drive a wedge between you and your ex girlfriend so you are aware of what NOT to do:

1. Gossiping about your ex girlfriend behind her back.

Gossip has a way of traveling back to the person you are talking about and it's easy to make the mistake of telling the wrong person something negative about your ex girlfriend and then having them go back and run their mouth to her. I am reminded of a situation that a friend of mine found himself in. He was talking about his ex girlfriend to someone he thought was a friend, but was really a guy who had a crush on my friend's ex girlfriend. So, the first thing this guy did was to go back and tell my friend's ex exactly what he had said. Needless to say, this caused some serious waves between my friend and his ex girlfriend and no, he didn't find a way to remedy that situation.

2. Dating one of her friends after the break up.

I am all for the idea of rebounding and exploring the world of dating after a break up. I think that it is one of the best things that you can do so that you don't end up feeling stuck on her or feeling like she is the only possible woman you could ever attract. Still, there has to be some boundaries if you want to stay on your ex girlfriend's good side and one of those boundaries is that you can't date one of her friends. Not only is this going to drive a wedge between you and your ex girlfriend, it's also probably going to drive a wedge between her and her friend... and that just ends up being one of those soap opera like situations.

3. Accusing your ex girlfriend of having cheated on you when you have no evidence of that.

This is something that I have seen quite a few guys do and it is one of those things that always makes me wince a bit when I hear it. If you are angry at your ex girlfriend and you feel like the way to get back at her is to accuse her of cheating, you better have some evidence to back that up. Otherwise, you can bet that you are going to drive a pretty permanent wedge between you and her and that's not going to help you out if you want to remain on good terms with her or you want to have a chance of being able to win her back.
