With High definition slowly becoming a household technology and blue ray discs already the rage, it was just a matter of time before 3D movies on DVDs found its way into our lives. Sadly though, 3D itself is still at a developmental stage and therefore the choice one has for viewership is quite limited. So, unless you have children at home, in which case you will have developed a taste for child fiction or you are fond of the thriller genre, like yours truly is, you will have difficulty finding 3D DVDS that will cater to your taste. Of course, I am sure that matters will improve by leaps and bounds now that Sony, Samsung and every other big company has launched their 3D televisions. This will not have gone unnoticed by the production houses and seeing that there is a very large market for home videos, the time is not far when we will be flooded with a plethora of choices. Romance, comedy, action (Oh! action has a large market always and large scopes for 3D projection, isn't it?), you name the genre and they

will indulge your fancy. After all, we the audience are their source of sustenance. They will cater to our demand and change with times, as they always have.

Imagine not having to queue up for tickets, imagine having the power to pause, replay and move ahead when it suits you. In short imagine the pleasure of viewing movies at home with the added plus of 3D effect. Now that just makes for the perfect movie viewing experience doesn't it? And add to it the big plus, the fact that you do not need to share glasses with a stranger. Who knows what standard of hygiene the theater owners maintain. Worse still, who knows what fatal eye infection the one who wore the glasses previous to you had, that now by sheer theory of probability is now in your eyes(shudders!)

No give me those children's movies and hack to death gore with blood spurting out at me DVDs anyday. And I will wait for the day when I can watch Denzel Washington walk towards me his arms outstretched, while hubby dearest enjoys Baywatch as the girls run towards him.
