Tiffany and the Golden Time of my Life
I have spent the first year of my college life
, and I have to say that it is the golden time of my life, for I have experienced the life I have always been dreaming, lost myself in the world of knowledge and connecting myself to the worlds of different people, which is so colorful and meaningful.When I was in my senior high, there was little time for me to extend my own interest. While now, the huge school library almost stores books of every kind. Whatever I want to read, I could refer to the library for help. And last year, I borrowed some book about painting, for it has always been my dream to be a painter ever since I was a little child. And the first time I drew a sunflower on the wall of our house, I was praised by my mother as creative, which stimulated my aspiration and resulted in my hoping to be a painter.

On the other hand, I am now able to meet outstanding scholars in my college, and exchange my ideas with them. Sometimes, they may praise me for my original thinking and discuss with me the possibility of making it out, while other times, when I come up with something wrong, they would always point out the mistakes and then I would be able to analyze the reason why I have made such mistakes. It is always a lot of help to me.
Except my schooling, I have also experienced the life in the society. I took part in school-organized community activities so as to do some voluntary work and help people there, which actually improved my ability to deal with people and handle emergencies. And I have also taken part-time jobs as my colleagues so as to gain social experience and cover my expenses. With the money I have earned, I bought a piece of Tiffany silver jewelry necklace as the gift for my mother's birthday, which is of modern design and high quality. She was quite happy when she got the gift, and full of tears she said, "Thank God! My little girl has finally grown up."
More than once have I looked back my freshman year and I find that much have been gained. Not only learning the knowledge, but also connect what I have learned with the society I am in.
