Woods, the former world number one, used to count putting as one of the strongest points of a game and this brought him fourteen major titles, but without a win since the Australian Masters in November 2009, his reliability on the green has faded lately. Recently, Tiger Woods said he was missing the input that his late father had made into his game, and Woods had returned to his father's methods in order to sharpen up his putting.In another words, Woods has been revisiting the lessons which had been learned from his father Earl, who died in 2006.Woods told the reporters on Wednesday that he had gone back to all of his old stuff that his father and he used to work on and that was when he felt that his stroke started becoming more solid, more sound, and his speed became much better. But for his father Woods really could get many bouncing ideas off of him, and Woods did miss both the feeling of himself and the words from his father.Moreover, Woods told the reporters that his father's suggestions were really helpful for his putting release, and this had the same fundamentals as what he was working on now in other parts of his game with Canadian swing coach Sean Foley.He said that It was totally the same, and what Foley was trying to get Woods to do with his full swing, more importantly, how Foley wanted him to release it was how Woods used to release his putter. Accordingly, that's one of the reasons why Woods had gone back to his old stuff, and that his father and he used to work on together, so he could get a natural feeling, as he had done it for so long.
