Tim Tebow Named As The Denver Broncos Number 2 Quarterback !

Tim Tebow had a prolific career as a star quarterback in college for the Florida Gators

. A lot of people said that Tebow could never make the transition to the NFL. They said his style of play would not be successful in the National Football League.

The Denver Broncos drafted Tebow in the first round of the NFL draft (25th overall). The Broncos already have a solid starting quarterback with Kyle Orton. They also have acquired Brady Quinn from the Cleveland Browns. The Broncos simply felt that Tebow was a winner , and was too talented to pass on.

Tebow looked good at times in the pre season , good enough to earn the number 2 spot. Tebow's final preseason stats: 25-of-39 (64.1 percent), 344 yards, two touchdown passes, two interceptions, one touchdown run, a couple of bruised ribs, an 87.98 passer rating and a taste of NFL experience.

If anything happens to Kyle Orton during the season , we will see the beggining of the Tim Tebow era in Denver. Tebow is definately the Broncos Quarterback of the future. He will have an opportunity to prove everyone who doubted him wrong.

Last seaon the Broncos started the year 6-0 with Kyle Orton. When Orton was injured half way through the season he was replaced by backup quarterback Chris Simms. Simms was a disaster and the Broncos offense was pathetic without Orton.

This Year the Broncos will be in good shape at the Quarterback position with Orton as the starter and Tebow as the backup. We expect the Broncos to be a threat this season and into the playoffs.
