Time Leveraging and Internet Marketing

I would like to talk to you this morning about Time Leveraging as pertains to internet and affiliate marketing, but can truly be applied to any home based business, internet or online business and your daily walks in life.

If you are a experienced internet marketer you have already discovered this, but if you are new or considering a move to internet marketing is something you need to learn about.

I think one of the main reasons for failure in internet marketing is the inability to properly leverage time. I can speak to this from a standpoint of experience, as I have problems myself when I first started out.

So I would like to give you a few keys to leveraging your time so that you can be successful.

1. Have a goal, but also have a roadmap layed out to get to your goal. It is easy to have a goal of, I want to be debt free or have more time to spend with my family, but without a roadmap to get there you can easily get off track. I know when we get ready to take a weekend trip, the first thing we talk about is where we want to go, then next thing we do is to look at the map to lay out how we will get there.

2. Focus on the activities that will get your further down that roadmap. If the activity is not something that gets you down the road, it isn't worthwhile and you should not be wasting your time on it. How do you determine this? I'll give you an example, when I was a supervisor and we had a problem I would always say, ok lets stop and figure out a plan to get us back on track. Now honestly what do most do? I had a fellow supervisor on the same job that would say, just go do something, we have to get this fixed. Enough said.

3. Determine what your time is worth. If you are spending time on something that you could pay someone to do less than what you are making, it could easily allow you time to do the things that will make you more money. I went full time in this field when I realized I was losing money each day I went to work.

4. Don't be afraid to source out tasks that are easily done by someone else, like maybe a college student looking for some extra cash. I'll give you an example, articles, press releases, videos I create. That is the end of it for me, I hand those items off to be formalized and distributed. Why? Because it allows me to leverage my time on more productive tasks.
