Time Management Vs. Time Consciousness

We have all, some time or other, either attended a seminar or workshop on

, thought about or sought to make time management a part of our life. It seemed to work for a short time but lost its lustre very soon. Why?

A day is a day, an hour is an hour and a minute is a minute for everyone on this planet. Then how come some of us achieve so much in our lives while others keep on struggling?

All of us have similar questions related to health, wealth, work, relationships, etc. Don't we?

If you have answered Yes' to the last question above then it is time to review time management' and see if it is still applicable in today's hectic world.

Unlike money, time cannot be saved, borrowed, lent or earned. Time, once spent, is gone for good. It can never be recovered or retrieved. Hence, time is one of our most precious possessions. Since all of us have the same amount of time, 24 hours, and only some of us, 3% to 5% of the world population, have learnt the art of using it to our advantage, it implies that time cannot be managed.

If time management is a myth then what do the 3% to 5% of the population know about time that we should also know? Time Consciousness. Yes, time consciousness, as opposed to time management, is the secret of success of the small percentage of people in the world that we all wish to emulate.

What is Time Consciousness?

Rajan Ramchandani, CEO of DNA United, Singapore, explains time consciousness, in his verbal concerts (seminars), as an awareness of time. Since time is constant for everyone, those who are conscious of time usually make the most of it.

People in today's world are ruled by their wants and desires. In the days of the caveman, centuries ago, food was the only desire and hence cavemen could live one day at a time. Today, with increased desires and all the diversions and frantic lifestyle that we have, living one day at a time is next to impossible. There is so much to do and so little time.

Awareness of time, therefore, can come about by living in shorter intervals of time. For example, some people can live for an hour at a time, while for others a 10-minute interval may be appropriate. All the preparations, meetings, travelling, etc., can be distributed into those segments of time.

In his verbal concerts (seminars) and workshops, Rajan Ramchandani, of DNA United, Singapore, teaches people how to pre-determine events and compartmentalize them into time segments suitable for every individual.

Time consciousness in today's active lifestyle is the only answer to your desire for success.
