Time Management in Your Career

Do you want to know the secret of super successful people? How you can work smarter and not harder to meet your deadlines along side other requirements, how to do twice the work in half the time and make yourself productive and not wasted. Majority can waste an average of four hours a day which is to say twenty hours in a week. Imagine what you could do in that time. The following are three great points that makes you get more done in less time, get you to the bar for happy hours, help you meet deadlines and finally put a smile on your face. 1. Write it all down Keep a time dairy and write down everything you intend doing for the week from Monday to Sunday like go to the office, returning of mails, visiting the salon, e.t.c. A realistic awareness of how you spend your time will make you realize how you can reclaim valuable hours.

2. Treat time as money

Think of time as money, something you can't afford to waste on unimportant activities. Decide on what you are aiming for in your career, do this every day to make sure goals stay on tack and agree on your priorities with whatever you are dealing with. Also, set objectives for yourself that fits in with the S.M.A.R.T rules. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time scale for accomplishing them all. Systematically, work with each one by being strict with yourself. It will help you a great deal to stay focused.

3. Know your body clock when it comes to setting your objectives; don't ignore your body clock. Some people are morning awakening, full of energy and creativity before lunch; others take time to wake up. If you are an "Early Bird" plan your most challenging task before the morning, then as your effectiveness tails off towards the end of the day, switch to routine jobs, vice versa if you are a "Night Owl" it is all about knowing your strength and managing it.
