The history of jewelry is a long one with many different uses among different cultures

The first sign of jewelry in ancient Egypt was about 3,000 to 5,000 years ago. Much of the jewelry made and worn by the Egyptians of the pass has greatly influence jewelry that is worn today. Egyptians created earrings, bracelets, armbands and collars for royalty, warriors and scholars. Today people wear oversized gold cuffs, chokers and armbands similar to that of the ancient Egyptian culture.
Egyptians loved gold and precious gems. Some gems were often used as symbols of power. In 1200 B.C.E. Egyptians created beads that were geomantic and floral designed.
