T-shirts have been a means of expression for years now

One company making the news is Allergic to Cities. In an inside spread of Rolling Stone Magazine's Special Television Issue, the iconic music magazine's Where are they Now' 2000s edition features John Hampson, of one hit wonder Nine Days. The article titled Rock & Roll High School' prominently features one of Hampson's students wearing an Allergic to Silence T-shirt.

Allergic to Cities manufactures a line of T-shirts, hats and goodies, with allergies ranging from Allergic to Cities, Allergic to Pavement, Allergic to War, Allergic to Work, and Allergic to Rules.' Allergies are one way to make a statement about causes close to the heart.

Another company making the news for t-shirts is IWearYourShirt.com. The concept is simple. Companies pay I Wear Your Shirt to wear their shirt, blog about it and video about it. The owner, Jason Sadler gets paid to make advertising fun. His company has been featured on CNBC, in the NY Times and more. Every year since its inception, IWearYourShirt.com has expanded the company. In 2011 there will be five t-shirt wearers across the country blogging, making videos and reaching out to thousands of interested fans.

Caf Press lets you make your own t-shirt with your own design. You can put your t-shirt up for public sale. Titles like Please Tell Me I'm Adopted, to Beards They Grow On You are up for sale. From maternity shirts, to political shirts, they have it all.
