Tiny Gizmo Reader Favourite In Pup Idol Contest

Little Gizmo the mutt was one of over 120 puppies who battled it out online for a

few weeks to win the Sun's Pup Idol title and a one year's free supply of dog food courtesy of Pets at Home. The contest pegged some of the most adorable puppies from all across the UK against one another with online voters making the choice on which puppy was the cutest.

Tiny Gizmo was entered into the contest and this little fella sure is cute! Gizmo, a black and white mixed breed featuring some Chihuahua in his blood line wooed the voters like no other before him. At just a few weeks of age, this little black and white button of joy, could easily be held in the palm of one hand. Chihuahuas are a very popular breed of dogs that can be either short or long-haired. Highly portable and easy to take along, Chihuahuas make great family pets. Gizmo was the winner of round twelve, beating out the other cute pups to put himself in a good position to win the grand prize of a year's supply of dog food.

It was very hard for voters to decide which puppy to choose in the Pup Idol contest, as every entrant was unique and very cute. But, in the end, little Gizmo nailed it in round twelve. In fact, over one thousand readers thought that this playful pup had what it takes to win the contest but 119 other dogs also made it into the semi-finals with Gizmo after twelve rounds of voting.

Tens of thousands of readers logged onto the website to cast their votes by rating the puppies on a scale which ranged from Top Dog to Ruff. It was top-of-the-line pure pedigree versus mongrel mutt, as twelve pooches were set to emerge to make it into the final round.
