Tips For Buying Gift For Your Bridesmaids

Getting ready for the wedding was just as stressful as I thought it would be

, even though I was able to do a lot of the work in advance. There were a million decisions to make and I still hadn't thought of what to get as bridesmaid's gifts.

I didn't want to get the same old things I had always received as a gift when I was in a wedding party. I wanted something that was going to be special, something they could wear anytime and still remember this special day.

Jewelry was one thing I knew that all five bridesmaids would love, so I went to the local jewelry store to window shop and hopefully get an idea. It was a great plan as I saw just what I knew I wanted to get.

A collection of small, detailed and beautifully designed charms and matching bracelets were on display in the window. There were so many different options I could get each bridesmaid a slightly different style but still stay in the theme of my wedding.

Since the maid of honor needed a really unique gift, I selected a bold bracelet and planned to choose gold charms for her. The bridesmaids could all have silver charms and a bracelet, which would look great with their dresses.

I wanted each girl to be able to add her own charms so I decided to pick three key charms for each bracelet, and then leave a lot of room for each to personalize. Each charm would be the same symbol, but each would also be unique and different. One charm I selected for each bracelet was a bridesmaid, perfect for their part in the wedding.

Roses were the flower I had focused on in all the bouquets and centerpieces for the wedding, so each bracelet had rose bouquet charms. These charms were absolutely beautiful and really highlighted the flower that I love.

Instead of adding another wedding themed charm, I decided to come up with a personal message for each girl. On flat heart shaped discs I had the wedding date added along with our initials. On the other side a message of thanks for standing up with me and being my friend.

I think that since each bracelet and collection of charms is slightly different, the girls will know that I meant these as very personal gifts. I also think that will all the space on the bracelet they can continue to add their own charms over the years, creating their own special memories.
