Formal dining sets often have coordinating hutches and cabinets that can complete the look of the room. If it's casual, anything goes from wood to a formica topped table.

The most important step in choosing the perfect dining table is to measure your room. Even the most delicious meal won't be very enjoyable if your guests are crowded together and uncomfortable. It's much better for the table to be too large as too small. If you are really cramped for space, consider a dining table with leaf extensions, or one that features drop leafs.
