Every time I lock a door (either manually or with the fob)
, it pops back into the unlocked position. How can I lock the door to my 2006 Kia Spectra when it keeps popping unlocked? Help! I can't lock any of the doors to my 2006 Kia Spectra.
Try holding the handle up after you lock and shut the door. Should stay locked *could be your fob malfunctioning. Every time you hit lock it unlocks. Try taking it apart an cleaning it could spilled soda or something causing buttons to stick and put new battery in it. Sounds to me there is a malfunction with the security system, if it has one that is. The only way your going to fix that, or find out what else it could be is to take it to a repair shop, because it dosent sound like anything like a fuse or something wrong with the key lock, so they will have to trace down what is going on , and that takes alot of know how and alot of time, its not alot of work, its just time consuming, if it isnt very important to you ,then I wouldn't take it anywhere because it will probably cost a pretty penny, but im sure you would like to lock your doors, so just take and drop it off and let them figure it out, it could be alot of different things.
It's in all but perfect condition. 2005 Kia Sorento - best oil, filter, battery, engine block heater? I just bought a 2005 Kia Sorento. My only real question is what kind of oil does it take? I'm in North Dakota and I need thinner oil, right? Also, what is the best brand for such a cold environment? It is starting to warm up here, but I want my car prepared for next year's weather.
5w30 oil should be fine. Any major brand of oil and filter will meet Kia's specs. Synthetic is better, but not necessary. You can have the battery tested at the parts store, it might be fine. Optima batteries are great, but about twice as expensive as regular ones. As for the engine block heater, I'm not too familiar with those being from Oklahoma, but the parts store should be able to get a good quality one for you.
The reason I believed this is because three sources, two of them employed by KIA told me this. Has anyone else gotten misinformation from KIA about the timing belt? I am the proud owner of a KIA whose engine got trashed by what I believed to be a non-interference timing belt.
The belt isn't interference, the engine is. The belt keeps it in time so that interference doesn't happen and bend valves. The Dodge neon SOHC engine is the same situ, Chrysler says it's a non interference engine but I just put 16 valves into my friends car because they were bent.
So do you think I would be made fun of or called stupid because I drive a rondo? I have a 2003 vw jetta now and hate it, it has cost more money in repairs than it is worth! Is a kia rondo a good car for a 16 year old guy? My aunt has a 2008 kia rondo, I love it it is so roomy and has alot of pick up and go.

How can she stop it from leaking? With out having to take it to the dealer? And I told her to have it serviced. Something wrong with my friends Kia Sorento LX? My friend has a black KIA Sorento LX and it keeps on leaking Anti freeze.
