Broken ceramics and bills from three years ago should be in the box 'throw away'. Things that you no longer need or want but are still usable and in good condition should be in the category 'sell', like your son's old toys or your college books.

If you are going to repaint your walls or replace the flooring, you have to remove all the furniture pieces and furnishings first. This would protect them from paint splatter or debris that can cause damage. You can ask the help of a contractor for this task. Make sure that you choose someone who is a professional and skilled in this kind of job.

In some cases, organizing a home requires you to buy new furniture. Be sure to choose something that is suitable for the size of your home. Spacious homes can accommodate large and heavy-looking furniture pieces. Small homes should have furniture pieces that do not look too bulky. You can also purchase dual purpose furniture to save space like a coffee table that has storage units underneath or a trundle bed for your kid's room. This is a great tips especially if you are living in a condominium or apartment and you have no choice but to maximize the limited space available.

Build or buy different kinds of storage units for your things. You can build a rack in your closet for your shoes or install floating shelves on your wall for your display. Try to install storage units in unused locations like corner areas, walls, and under the bed or table.
