Any contest or award gives you two excuses for publicity. One to announce the contest and the other to announce the winner, be very creative in your efforts tom make this media friendly. Any publicity is better than no publicity.

JOIN WITH POPULAR TRENDS:

Trends change almost spontaneously yesterday it was Myspace, then came Facebook, now its Twitter.com. In today's demanding market you have to keep up or get out of the race. Find whats in demand take it and use it for your advantage. Make whats hot work for you.

DETERMINE WHAT A COMMUNITY NEEDS:

Target your intended market and determine the need and find a way to provide. The fastest way to get attention through charity is to fill some need in the community. Find your special interest and configure a way to joint with the community for the better. Lets say you want to work with gangs then organize a charity basketball tournament, community picnic, or work with people in neighborhoods to clean up certain areas of the city to make things look nicer. Find the weak spots in your community and determine how they relate to your talents or interest then do something about them. Learn to relate everything that you are doing to something that is currently in the news.

Find a news hook: Make sure you are not boring and that you tell the audience something that keep them interested in what you have going on. The information that you should have available should:

1.Entertain the audience

2.Edify the audience(Provide some value so that they will feel enriched by watching your news segment)

3.Increase the audiences awareness of new trends

4.Highlight new trends, holidays and seasonal focus

You want the world to notice you, then make yourself noticeable.
