Hair loss can be caused by different factors such as stress
, medicines, diet, pollution, genetics, and lack of vitamins and minerals in the body. Frequent wearing of helmets and caps can also result to falling hair. Women are the usual victims of hair loss.
Here are some important things you need to do or avoid to prevent hair loss.
1. Take good care of your hair. Unless your hair loss is caused by genetics, you can certainly do something to avoid it using simple measures. One of the basic ways of taking care of our hair is by washing it. Mild shampoo is recommended. The simple activity of washing your hair can prevent hair loss. Also, it keeps your scalp and hair neat and tidy. Do not pull your hair. When you brush your comb your hair, gently do so particularly when it has some tangles.
2. If possible, avoid too much stress. Stress is definitely not a good thing. It does no good to any part of the body including the hair. Try to limit the stressors in your daily tasks at home or at work. Engage in activities which can relax both your mind and body. You can go workout in a gym, join sports events, go on hiking, swimming, or bike riding and the like.
3. Eat nutritious foods. Foods packed with vitamins and mineral will make your whole body strong and healthy, including your hair. Consume foods that are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, biotin, zinc, vitamin C, protein, and iron. Foods that are rich in these vitamins and minerals are, fish, fruits, green and leafy vegetables, liver, pork, beef, brown rice, whole wheat bread, tofu, peanut butter, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, walnuts, soy beans, oyster, and chicken.
If there are foods that stimulate hair growth, there are those that can also trigger hair loss. Hair loss can be triggered by low-calorie drinks and raw egg white.
4. You might want to consider supplements and using products which prevent hair loss. If your hair loss worries you a lot, hair and scalp tonic might help. It does not only help prevent hair loss but also lessens scalp itchiness and excessive oil. It also opens up hair follicles for proper hair growth.
