Tips On Being Consistent With Exercise
1. Ensure the specificity of your plans:For most people, this is the time where the start to feel the magic happen. So many people get really pumped up about getting healthy and "working out" they go and buy a membership at a gym. When they visit there, they do a few random exercises and call it a day. This will last for several days until they feel the urge to quit. When a person is vague about what the want to achieve or what their goals are, they will feel horrible about themselves no matter how hard they are exercising. These individuals usually say things like "I'm going to start working out" or "I want to get back in shape" but do not know what they mean specifically.Your goals must be measurable to give your program a big room for success. You will also need to have a plan that is very detailed about what you will be doing to meet these goals. For instance, will you workout three days a week or four? Will your workout sessions be 45 minutes or an hour? Specificity of the goal and plan is needed.Being able to stick to your weekly exercise schedule makes you already successful! If you simply stick to three days a week with 45 minute sessions each, you can accomplish a lot. That is of course if you did not take any advice about your plan from a random guy in a "trainer" shirt. However, if your plan is very specific and detailed about doing different workouts on different days you should plan ahead for that. Those that tell themselves that they'll workout at any time per week are more likely to not exercise at all. If you get a real plan from a professional trainer and stick to it, you will surely see results.2. Getting Enough Rest:If you want to take your motivation and self discipline to a higher level then you should be getting 8-9 hours of sleep each night. Fatigue is the biggest threat to your motivation and self discipline. You may think you have more time in your day if you sleep less at night but is that really the case? The truth of the issue comes down to your body only operation at about 50%-60% of what it actually should. Moreover, you will accomplish less during your day since you are fatigued even though you may have more time. The only thing not getting enough rest will do for you is make you feel really bad.3. Staying Realistic:Regardless of what goal you are trying to reach you will most likely make a mistake or two along the way. Don't fret about making mistakes, it is really normal which molds you into someone better and wiser. You are human and so you will surely make mistakes. Instead of just calling it quits after the first few times you screw up, keep trying. Don't fear mistakes, the more you make them, the more wiser you become. However, this is of course if you do not keep repeating the same mistake constantly.Okay, you are tired of wasting time, right? You want that great body you have been imagining? Then it is time to get off the couch and do something about it. You have to stop lying to yourself. Stop telling yourself stories. It is time to take action and really commit yourself to this.
