If you have to take connecting flights to reach your destination

, it is important that you make all the right moves right from the time when you are close to land at the intermediary airport. While people do take note of the time gap between the connecting international flights, they might miss out on some other crucial information. Here are some important tips on how to catch these flights.

1.Listen to the in-flight announcements: If there are in-flight announcements before landing, you need to give them a very keen ear. Usually, these announcements might tell which gate of airport is the plane heading to? If there is a change in the gate to which the plane shall be headed, the passengers are informed about it with in-flight announcements and it is the right time to listen to it.

2.Check with gate agents or follow monitors: If you are new to some international airport, it is better not to hesitate to ask gate agents about the route to your connecting flight. If there are no agents, then you can take the help of the sign boards or the information displayed on monitors for reaching to the flight. It is pertinent that you do ask for the right route or be guided by information displayed on monitors in order to save your hassles of going on a wrong route.

3.Rush, but do not run: If there is less time to catch the connecting flight, the general tendency is to run for catching the flight but you are more likely to be stopped by the security personnel. This might lead to further wastage of time and put you in unnecessary hassles. So, it is better not to run. Rather, it is suggested that you inform the airline about your landing at the airport and to tell them that you are on your way to the flight. If the flight is missed, it is better to ask airline for next flight and for arranging the hotel for staying at night. If you are not accommodated on next cheap international flights or these are no longer useful for your travel, you can demand compensation for missing the flight.

People do miss connecting flights if there is not sufficient time gap between the two flights. Therefore, before booking the cheap international flights it is suggested that time gap of a few hours shall be there between two connecting flights. Further, if there is just sufficient time gap, then you cannot afford to be complacent and have to make all the right moves right from the time when the flight is about to land to taking the correct route and boarding your flight.
