Tips On How To Get Carrie's Makeup From Satc

First it was shoes. Then it was martinis. Now everyones wondering how to get Carrie Bradshaws makeup in SATC 2!

Ten years after Sex and the City first hit the airwaves, Carrie and the gang are still influencing the tastes of women the world over. If it werent for them, how else would the Cosmopolitan (and martinis in general, for that matter) have come back into vogue? How else would women who live far from any big city know the names Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik?

With the new film, everyone seems to want to know about the makeup this time. Times have changed since SATC transfixed a shopping-obsessed world during the last decade and today we want something a little more accessible. Heres a few tips on Carries look and how you can get it at home!

In SATC 2, the girls take a break from their normal lives and fly away to Abu Dhabi for a taste of the Middle East. With average highs in the United Arab Emirates hovering around 95 Fahrenheit, Carrie embraced a breezy, hot weather look with sheer, draping outfits and makeup that was no-fuss.

In one of the Abu Dhabi scenes, Carrie is shown wearing a bejeweled headscarf. She keeps her makeup simple with a soft suede eye shadow and nude lips. In hot weather, its best to skip your normal foundation routine; Carrie seems to be doing just that with a tinted moisturizer or a just a hint of bronzer instead. To highlight Sarah Jessica Parkers piercing blue eyes, the makeup artist used charcoal liner both above and below each eyelid. Top with a swipe of dark mascara, your own sexy scarf, a pair of aviator-style sunglasses and youve got the look down!

In promotional materials for SATC 2, Carrie shows off an ethereal look as she appears to take a walk in the clouds. Her makeup plays on the jewel tones of her dress with gunmetal grey eye shadow and Carries signature smoky eye pencil and mascara (gotta play up those eyes, remember?) again. Skin should be natural-looking with just a hint of light pink blush and a glossy, almond-colored lip color. Just a dusting of shimmery powder shows off Parkers collar bone and again references the dresss glittery feel.

If you want to rock this look, remember to top it off with SJPs signature curly mane. Girls with curls like Parkers need only apply an anti-frizz serum and scrunch locks with a strong-hold mousse or pomade. Those of us blessed with straight hair can get the look by using a flat iron to curl strands. Simply wrap two inch sections around the iron at a time, hold it vertical for 20 seconds, release, and finish with a spritz of hairspray.
