Tips On Placing The Home Theater Speakers To Get The Best Sound

To enjoy a full home theatre experience, you need to outfit your room with decent speakers but whats more you need to set them up correctly

. The manner in which the Home Theatre System is placed affects the sound quality of it. While placing a Home Theatre system in your home some points must be taken care of so as to get best quality sound and higher efficiency.

Here, we are providing you some tips on placing the home theatre speakers to get the best sound.

Placement of the speakers: Like any other speaker, the subwoofer interacts with everything that is there in the room and therefore, no subwoofer will sound the same in different rooms. Though, there is no fixed, recommended placement position for the subwoofer. In a properly set up home theatre, its hard to detect which direction the bass is coming from

To maximize its output and enhance the overall bass response the subwoofer should be placed near the corner of the room. Placing the subwoofer too close to a corner or a wall may result in a less controlled bass response.

The easiest way to locate a sweet spot for the subwoofer is to overturn the roles.

Put the subwoofer in the vicinity where you would usually sit.

Room Acoustics: The room plays a significant role in the performance of your Home Theatre System speakers. Every rigid surface in the room reflects sound and what you hear is combination of direct and reflected sounds.

Direct sound comes straight from the speaker diaphragms to our ears. Reflected sound is sound that bounces off the ceiling, the floor, walls and furniture, and reaches your ears after a slight delay. Generally, direct sound is mainly responsible for the image and reflected sound contributes basically to the tonality.

Configuration of your A/V Receiver Every modern A/V receiver has a Speaker Menu that allows the user to identify which speakers are connected, the distance from the listening position to each home theater speaker, individual speaker levels, the size of each speaker and a crossover frequency. To set the home theater speaker levels, you will need to use a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) meter, which is purchased separately from the receiver. All of these settings are important and need to be set carefully to properly reproduce movie soundtracks.

At Panasonic we provide you with best quality Home Theatre Speakers loaded with Best quality Dynamic Bass and highly configured A/V Receiver with wireless rear speakers, which provides easy setup.
