You are soon going to find as you increase your collection of karaoke disks that you have invested a great deal of money
. You are going to need to protect this investment of your money which means that you need to look after and store these disks in a proper manner. They can be easily ruined if they are neglected and this is basically the same as throwing money away.
What you need to do is put a price tag on your collection. You may not realize after several months of building your disk library that it has quite a dollar value to it it does not take long before you can have over 2000 dollars in disk collected.
When you reach this stage you really need to get a hold of your insurance provider and make sure that these are put on as part of your household belongings if something should happen at least your disks are going to be covered and the cost value will be replaced by your insurance company.
Make sure when you are keeping your disk put away that you pick a proper area to keep them in. what you do not want to do is have them anywhere where they can get wet which means your not going to want to put them near a window for example or anywhere near a heater where there going to get over heated as either one of these conditions will cause them to warp.
They have to be treated with care just like any other cd for example that you would be using for your computer. What you need to do is perhaps have a special storage container made for your karaoke cd?s and ideally if it?s a portable one then you can carry them with you when you are going to perform at a karaoke party for example.
Even when your storing your disks make sure that you keep them in there original containers you will find that some come in a plastic holder and others may perhaps just in a firm cardboard jacket what you don?t want to do is get into the habit of just letting them lay around or putting them away without putting them in there proper protective containers if you do so what is going to end up happening is they will often become scratched and then when you go to use them you are going to get a lot of skipping.
The other thing is you do not want to be getting a lot of finger prints on them either just as you would handle one of your important cd disks you should handle your karaoke disk in the same way make sure as much as possible that you hold them from there sides and periodically you will need to clean them. Most often the manufactures directions will tell you how to do this although most often you will be safe to use a soft lint free cloth with a little bit of window cleaner one thing to make sure of though is make sure that the cleaner does not contain any ammonia.
